Dr B with I Need A Doctor

I need a doctor took me 3 years to make. I went through so many problems with different vocalists and my original production files were corrupted. The main vocalist (Teezy) is 18, he lives in Africa and we met on Instagram in 2019. At that time, we recorded 7 songs together, but he had a lot of personal problems. The music was really helping him cope with the lost of his best friend. I was also still trying to figure out my sound and I wasn’t sure if my fans were really going to be into this song or if I should just keep making more house and techno music.

In The Studio

Anyway, every time I went to the studio to work on this song, I ran into software problems and I had to keep redoing the music. I was incredibly frustrated and I decided shelve the track. I didn’t touch this song for 18 months. Earlier this year I was listening to the demo version of ‘I need a doctor’ and I realized it’s a really strong track and I think my fans would love to hear it. I think I just needed a break from this song and the negative associations that came along with this track. I’m happy to say I finally finished the song in early 2022 and I’m happy to share it with the world.
